Úvodní jarní kolo rozjel domácí Baník ve velkém stylu. Od první minuty se do soupeře zakousl a potvrzoval postavení v tabulce. Po třech spálených šancích přišla dalekonosná rána Kotyka - 1:0. Další pohromou bylo zranění hostujícího brankáře, který musel ve 12. minutě střídat. Do poločasu navýšil gólový účet Ondráško a Vít. Po změně stran pokračovala kanonáda a diváci se dočkali postupně desítky.
